The 9th Grade class has been reading about Romeo and Juliet in their Literature 1 class. To wrap-up the unit on Romeo and Juliet, the 9th graders were asked to come up with a final project relating to Romeo and Juliet. Students had a variety of options to choose from. National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
On Wednesday April 24th 2019 was the National Honor Society Induction Ceremony. New members (pictured in front row) are sworn in by existing NHS members in a candle light ceremony. New members include: Atley Nelson, Zoey Bueoy, Dena Nichols, Lauryn Teel, Trinity McClure, Halle Murray, and Ariana Smith. Existing members include (back row): Braiden Hagestrom, Jason Hanner, Kirsten Myers, Semia Aldrich, Landon Christensen, Olivia Brown, and Kennedy Cooper.
Then Feed Just One 2019 Packaging Event Another Success!
On April 13th 2019, Whiting Community School hosted another “Then Feed Just One” Event. This event consists of volunteers packing rice meals to be shipped to places in need of meals. With the volunteers at the event, they packed over 38,000 meals!

The Pies Were Flown - Pi Day in the Face Fundraiser
Whiting CSD ended our day on Friday March 15th by getting a little messy for a good cause! Two seniors and five teachers were pied in honor of National Pi Day.
We have been fundraising for the “Then Just Feed One” packaging event which will take place on Saturday morning April 13th at the school. Thank you to the student council for organizing and putting on this event!
