School Location
Our address is 606 West Street. The school is on the west side of town.
Parking
Buses should park on the west side of the building after dropping performers off in front on the east side of the building in the circle drive. There is also parking along the west side of West Street and the Christian Church north of our school less than one block away.
Maps
Maps will be posted and available at the door. Most of the events will take place in the elementary (south) side of the building as it is all handicap accessible, however, Centers 7, 8, and 9 are on our second floor and are not handicap accessible. The north end of the building also has a ramp to access the lunch room where concessions will be sold. We are a cash only concession. Please remind parents and spectators that there will be a $5 suggested donation at the door and that times are APPROXIMATE! We will wait to start performances until scheduled times unless a room is running far ahead or behind. Please know your school ID # and share it with your students ahead of time. Also, please do not wear school-identifying apparel.
The school is located at 606 West St. in Whiting, just south of the Whiting Christian Church.
Directions from Highway K-45
Head West (Southbound turn right; Northbound turn left) onto Whittier St. (Whiting Main St.) and drive thru town to West St. to the 4 way stop. Go south (left) for drop off in front or keep going west half a block and turn left (south) to park behind the school. The school is located on the west side of the street.
Directions from Interstate 29
Head East towards Whiting from the interstate and make the first right you can make on West St. as you come into town. The school will be on your right (south side)
Inclement Weather Makeup Date
If inclement weather were to take place, the makeup date for this contest would be Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 @ 1:30 pm.

CENTER INFORMATION
CENTER 1: AUDIENCE & JUDGE’S ROOM
Center 1
This center has 3 rooms: one for prep, one for performers, and one for the audience and judge. Center 1 prep room will switch to performance room for Prose after Radio is complete.

There will be one warm up room on the second floor near the Improv room and one in the elementary building as well.
Bus Drivers’ Lounge will be available.
The office will be the tabulation center. Scores will be posted in the gym.

CENTER 2: This is a regular elementary classroom. Chair provided.
Center 4
CENTER 4: This is a larger classroom on the elementary side.

CENTER 6: This room is on the first floor of the high school building and requires use of 5 stairs to access or the ramp at the north end of the building entering from the outside.

CENTER 8: Improv/Original Oratory
This is a second floor center with a podium.
CENTER 3: This center is in the elementary and will have a stool provided.

Down hallway to the west from the gym.

This is a 2nd floor center that has a podium, screen, and a table for a projector.

Concessions
A variety of concessions will be offered throughout the day. Please eat here and support our school! (There is not a restaurant in town.) We will have pizza, pulled pork, walking tacos, and other snacks available throughout the day. We are cash only.
Contest Environment
Please help keep noise in the hallway to a minimum. Be conscious of performers in nearby centers. All personal belongings should be kept in the gym. Remind your students that there will be oral comments from the judges, and to be respectful of the school building.
JUDGE INFORMATION
Judges’ Lounge and Meeting will be held in the Multi-purpose room on the main floor of the high school building.
Turn right, go through the office, down 5 stairs, past the preschool room. It will be on your right.
