Whiting High School's Large Group Speech practices are underway as groups are preparing their speech pieces for District Speech Contest this Saturday in Denison, Iowa. Some of the speech pieces include two radio shows, a couple ensemble acting pieces, some mime pieces, as well as a Reader's Theatre piece. Students are excited to perform their speech pieces to the public and hope for a good rating at contest. Coaches Lisa Hoebelheinrich and Lesley Hubert are excited for the students to perform as well. Good luck at contest!

These items will be given to families in need in our area.  Thank you also to the student members who volunteered their time and energy to get the word out in the community and school, as well as those that purchased and organized items.

Thank you to everyone who donated to the FCCLA's Hygiene Drive and it wouldn't have been a success without the public's help!

FCCLA Hygiene Drive

Your son/daughter may have received a letter from the school or heard about the Whiting High School FCCLA members having a Hygiene Drive at our school. It starts December 6th and ends December 21st. We could use new/unused products such as adult/kids toothbrushes, toothpaste, bars of soap, disposable razors, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner, boxes of tissues, etc. The donations will go to people and families that need it. There will be a box in the school lobby for the donations. We appreciate any and all donations. Thank You!

Sincerely,
Whiting FCCLA Members
