Calling all children who are four years old on or before September 15, 2024! Please join us on April 29th at 9:00 a.m. for some preschool fun!
Children should be dropped off at the preschool room at 9:00. Parents will return for a short meeting at 11:00 and may pick up their children following the meeting.
To register for preschool round-up call the school office at 712-455-2468 to leave your and your child’s names and contact information.

As the Seniors' last day is approaching, it is that time of the year when the Seniors will be recognized for their hard work and prayed over in the next step of their lives. The Baccalaureate Program for Seniors is Wednesday May 17th, 2023 in the Gymnasium.

COME AND SUPPORT THE WHITING STUDENTS AT THE ANNUAL AWARDS NIGHT CEREMONY. STUDENTS WILL BE RECOGNIZED FOR THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN ACTIVITIES AT THE SCHOOL AND OTHER SPECIAL AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN.

Whiting's Annual Veteran's Day Program organized by Whiting’s American Legion Post will be held Thursday, November 11th @ 10:00 AM in the Whiting Community School Gymnasium. We will recognize veterans for what they did for our freedom along with some words from our student body and also performances from the music students in Band and Choir. The public is welcome to attend!

The junior class will be selling pink out shirts for the volleyball game on October 12! Order forms are now available! Shirts are $20! You can purchase a shirt even if you are not attending to support after prom!

School Picture Day is Tuesday, September 14th! Students should have received envelopes with order forms to give to their parents. These are due before pictures are taken on Tuesday. Don't forget to bring your smile for school picture day!

The first day of school for the 2021-22 school year at Whiting Community School is Wednesday August 25th! Students will begin the transition out of Summer and back into the routine of school. We are excited for another great year of school at Whiting!

Start off 2020 in a big way by saving the lives of community members! One blood donation will save the lives of three local hospital patients. In one hour you can do more for your community than most people will do in a lifetime. The best part is: You can give multiple times a year!

Make a resolution to be a lifesaving blood donor in 2020 and schedule an appointment to donate at an upcoming blood drive in your area. The Whiting High School and Community Blood Drive is Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The location of the Blood Drive is at Whiting Community School, 606 West Street in Whiting.

Come and enjoy a night of holiday music put on by our Middle School & High School music students! The Middle School and High School Choir and Band will perform some holiday selections conducted by our music teacher, Alicia Vande Hoef. The concert starts at 7:00pm in the gymnasium. We hope to see you there!

Come and enjoy a night of Holiday Winter music from the Elementary Students, directed by music teacher, Alicia Vande Hoef on December 5th! Students ranging from Preschool to 5th Grade will perform a few holiday songs, as well as the 5th Grade Band students. There will also be a Bake Sale from 6:15pm-7:00pm in the concession stand in the main lobby and the bake sale will also continue after the concert is over. Funds raised from the bake sale support the Whiting Community School Music Program. Buy some baked goods and enjoy the music put on by our Elementary students!

Whiting Community School is partnering with LifeServe Blood Center to host another Blood Drive at the school on Monday, November 4th from 9:30am to 1:30pm! Donors can schedule a time online to donate or walk in! This event is open to the public. Whiting’s National Honor Society students will be helping with this event as well. Please consider donating blood because each blood donation can save up to three lives!

The Last Day of School for PK-11th Grade will be Thursday May 23rd with a 2:22pm dismissal. High School students will also wrap up the last of their finals on the last day as well.

The Art show is also two days this year! Monday May 13th 4pm - 7pm & Tuesday May 14th 8am - 4pm.
